bmc saga...
This site was born
in august 1997, during the summer, a period during
which i discover a new passion for websites, and in
particular, in their conception. So a new idea immediatly
came to me : why do not marry this new passion with my long
love for black music ?.
A quick conclusion
Apart this, i also rapidly conclude that as many huge
collectors, i missed a real, certified web source of my
musical passion, concerning all releases from U.S and U.K
majors or indies labels. I was in particular, looking for
some information about the earliest 12" singles. A few
people, tried this way, but it didn't concerned what i was
searching for ; some of you will perhaps remember George
Spruce's earliest work in 1996. This Finland site only
concerned HOUSE, GARAGE releases. Thanks for him for this
inspiration.
Name of the site, comes from my want to help everyone, new freshly debarked collector, or affirmed one, to build its own black musical collection, a collection that you could be proud. So, with this site, i have decided to build database of labels, U.S, UK, Canadian, etc, turned onto Soul, DISCO, R&B, rap, Go-Go, ...
Another particular project
: Around 1997/1998, we have been further thru the world
to be interested about the subject of "What was the very
first 12" single released" ?. This is thanks to AL BOTTCHER
(of BEACHBUM COLLECTABLES, Los Angeles), whom we've
exchanged a lot of e-mails, that month after month,
informations have been (re) discovered, crossed, verified,
and that databases could have been build. Now, photos,
certified the existence of those earliest 12"s singles.
Since others subject have been exploded; such as the FRENCH
influence in DISCO Music.
That's because all of above, that Black-Music-Collectors was born, and that with your exchanges, contacts, it always grows up, and still lives on the web!.
I wish you will find the required information here. Have a nice travel thru black music history.
A
recognition of labourl
!
: since 1977, this project has been spoiled further times. I
always decided to let those informations freely available,
but they have been copied without any authorizations. This
is simply none than a robbery...
So, simply respect our daily labour...
