Lawful label and steered by Joey and Sylvia ROBINSON under the cup of the group " All Platinum ", and launched in 1968 at the same time as All Platinum records. If TURBO, was more particularly reserved for the productions of Linda JONES, Lonnie YOUNGBLOOD and of the group BROTHER TO BROTHER, STANG, (from which the name comes of " muSTANG ", ' the car possessed by Joey ROBINSON in 1968), was reserved for  the titles of two main artists; " THE MOMENTS ", and the "WHATNAUTS". It is also on this label, that SYLVIA will try to boost for the last time HANK BALLARD's career, and it was unsuccessfully. Towards the end of 1975, SYLVIA feels that the soul scene does not work any more, and, to compensate for the falls of sales of MOMENTS ®, she turns to more disco / funk  productions with the RIMSHOTS ®, in vain. The fame will come more than thirty years later!

 

It is with the title " Love On A Two-Way, Street " in 1971 when STANG is going to register these best sales (guaranteed disc 500,000)

To note, that as for the label VIBRATION, the last releases make reference to "ASTROSCOPE, Records Inc ", probably for a question of  rights, and because of the close closure of the group " All Platinum ". But this financial failure, will allow to be reborn under the label SUGARHILL!

 

Last remark common to all the labels of the group " All Platinum "; concerning the management of copyright, it is easy to distinguish those being a part of the catlatogue of the group, because they end by the suffix " GM ", of those managed by other companies, these last one ending by "NO.".
