PATRICK JUVET ; même si il est de nationalité Suisse, c'est un des rares chanteur français à avoir été classé dans le haut des charts U.S. Patrick, avait déjà une carrière bien fournie avant la période Disco. Il interprétait des chansons pour jeunes minettes telle que "Les Mots Bleus", ou "Rappelle toi Minette". Mais c'est aussi un amoureux de la musique, et au début des années 70, il choqua le public avec un Album co-écrit avec Daniel BALAVOINE "Chrysalide", au style très David BOWIE, avec un maquillage très chargé.
En 1975, il déménage à Los Angeles. Souvent dans les boîtes de nuit, il apprend à apprécier le style GAMBLE & HUFF ou les productions d'ISAAC HAYES. De passage à Paris, il montre à Jean-Michel JARRE une chanson de son projet d'alors, chanson dont le texte est en anglais. Jean-Michel le remplace par une composition française est cela donne "Où Sont Les Femmes". C'est le succès, le tout en français!
Dans le même temps, en transit à New York, il tombe sur nos deux "French Wonderboys", BELOLO & MORALI. Il se rencontre d'abord dans un ascenseur, puis au STUDIO 54. Une collaboration est en route, et patrick présente plus tard plusieurs titres. C'est MORALI qui en choisi une, et la met à la sauce Disco. Pour pouvoir la vendre aux U.S.A, ils décident d'utiliser le cliché du petit français qui vient de débarquer aux States...et c'est "I Love Arica", un titre qui surfe sur tous les styles, du rythme 'n blues au latino en passant par le country rock. Un contrat est signé avec CASABLANCA pour 3 albums.
C'est le succès et le début des gros problèmes...Le Disco c'est vivre la nuit, et Patrick est confronté à la boisson, la drogue...et du coup il perd de vue la chance qu'il a avec ce contrat. Le second album contient "Lady Night", aussi un hit, tandis que le troisième trouve ses limites et fait un flop. Patrick va devoir attendre une décennie pour s'en remettre et enregistrer de nouveau en 1992.
AMANDA LEAR, la madone du monde Gay, usant de sa réputation sulfure, de son look et de sa voix androgyne. D'origine RUSSE, Amanda TAPP vit en 1975 chez David BOWIE. D'où l'influence ?!. Compte tenu de sa voix, David l'encourage à faire quelque chose dans le domaine musical. Sous les conseils de BOWIE, et sous la direction artistique de Bryan FERRY, elle fait quelque cover. Les titres sont surtout dans la lignée de ceux de BOWIE. Une année après avoir tenté de placer une chanson à une maison de disque, elle arrive à ARIOLA en Allemagne. Les gens d'ARIOLA aime bien? mais lui propose autre chose: un contrat de 7 années pour des albums Disco. Et c'est parti
Munich, est alors LA place du Disco, l'endroit où il faut enregistrer (Donna SUMMER, SILVER CONVENTION). Le compositeur Tony MONNE produit le 1er album, et c'est le second qui l'établie comme une diva du Disco. C'est l'artiste qui vent le plus en Allemagne a cette époque. Le titre "Follow Me" devient un hymne particulier dans les endroits Gay. Ayant enregistré 6 albums, elle tourne beaucoup et rencontre énormément de gens. Tina TURNER lui demande d'écrire des chansons pour elle...un projet qui ne verra jamais le jour. De nos jours, lorsqu'elle se produit sur scène, c'est toujours ce titre que les gens demandent...et Amanda, qui n'a jamais réellement aimé le Disco, l'interprète ...à contrecœur.
VOYAGE, est la réunion de trois des meilleurs musiciens de studio, réunis pour l'occasion, au cours d'un voyage dans la musique Disco.
En 1977, Slim PEZIN, Marc CHANTEREAU, Pierre-Alain DAHAN se connaissent bien. Les artistes français les demande. Mais le Disco va leur donner ce qu'il leur manquait. Avec l'aide d'un éditeur, il préparent un projet : un album Disco qui doit raconter un voyage à travers le monde, chaque titre s'inspirant d'une musique, ou du folklore d'un pays. Le concept même donne le nom du groupe. L'album sort, dans l'indifférence la plus totale de la part des radios (comme d'habitude). Mais un certain nombre de D.J de la capitale le joue en club, et en particulier un jeune D.J américain du club "Elysée-Matignon". C'est le club de RÉGINE, la même RÉGINE qui ouvre un club à New York à cette époque. Aussi , ce D.J est envoyé à New York, et dans ses bagages il emporte quelques galettes Européenne dont VOYAGE. A New York, il joue tout l'album lors des soirées. Les maisons de disques U.S sont sur le pont ATLANTIC veut les signer, mais c'est T.K avec le sous label MARLIN qui emporte la mise.
Le premier album se vend à 2 millions de copies, et le succès vient alors en france. Le second LP, qui comporte "Fly Away" avec en vocaliste Sylvia MASSON, va encore plus loin dans le succès, et le 20 janvier 1979, ils sont n° 1 dans le DISCO Charts. Mais le groupe n'est pas habitué à gérer ce type de succès. Paul McCARTNEY leur propose de faire la 1ère partie du sa tournée de 1980. Financièrement ce n'est pas une bonne affaire, et le groupe n'est pas motivé. Entre 1980 et 1982, deux autres albums sont enregistrés mais l'histoire s'arrête là.

But he is a music lover and he shocked his public in the early 70's while a show for his album titled "Chrysalide" (co-written by Daniel BALAVOINE), performing in a David BOWIE style; outrageously maked-up.
In 1975 he moved from France to Los Angeles. Frequently out at night he felt the early disco feelings with GAMBLE & HUFF or Isaac HAYES productions. While in PARIS he showed to Jean Michel JARRE one song of his project on which are English lyrics. Jean-Michel replace them by the french composition of "Où Sont les Femmes". It's a success , in a french style!
In the same time, on a back way, and in transit in New York, he met , the two french guys Henri BELOLO & Jacques MORALI. They first met in a lift and the same night they met for a second time at the STUDIO 54 club. Collaboration is on the way.Few days later, Patrick present a selection of songs, on which MORALI choose one. It's a slow tempo but musically good one. Disco tempo is incorporated, and for selling in the state the two "French Wonderboys" decide to use all the "cliche" of the a little frenchy freshly arrived in the states...that's "I Love America". That song travel all over the styles from rhythm'n blues to latino or country rock. A contract is signed with CASABLANCA for three albums.
It's the succes for patrick and also the beginning of his problems....disco is a night musical style and patrick is hurted by drinks, drugs....he is unconsciencus of the BIG financial deal he had. Second album comprising "Lady Night" also hit, while the third is on the disco limits, and failed. Patrick should have to wait a decade to take off from all his physical problems, and recorded in 1992 an albums which...stayed in the dark.
AMANDA LEAR. She is a Madone of Gay people, exploiting her reputation, her look, and her androgynous voice. Russian origin Amanda TAPP, live in 1975 in David BOWIE's house. David encourage her, due to her voice to try to do something. With david's musicians, and Bryan FERRY advices, she does some "pasted-up" productions. Songs are rocky style and a dandy way (normal that's david's influence). After a year of trying to place her song, she arrived at ARIOLA Munchen. German people agree but they offer her a 7 year disco deal.
She Accept. In 1976, Munchen is the right place to record disco (i.e Donna Summer, Silver Convention...). Compositor Tony Monne produce the first album, but it's the second one that establish her as Disco diva. She is the first selling artist at that time in Germany. The song "Follow Me" become a night hymne particularly in gay's disco place. Recording 6 albums, she tour in the clubs and met a lot of people. Tina TURNER, has asked Amanda to write for her disco songs....they never have been finalized. (by chance?!). Nowadays, while perfoming shows, it's always the same "Follow Me" that people wants to ear, but amanda is fadded out of it, ....because she didn't rerlly like disco....Oooh yeahh.
VOYAGE. Three of the best musical studio performers, joined together for a "TRAVEL " thru the disco music. In 1977, Slim PEZIN, Marc CHANTEREAU, Pierre-Alain DAHAN, know well each others. They are in demand musicans by all french stars. Disco music gave them the need to came about. With the help of an editor, they plan a project; a disco album that must be a travel thru all around the earth, each part inspired by music, folklore of the country. Album concept gave the group name. The record is out, with total indifference from the radios (as usual). But a few DJ's around PARIS play the disk, and in particular a young US guy back the plates at "Elysee-Matigon" club. This club was helded by REGINE, the girl that openned her New Yorker club at the same time. So our DJ is on the way back home, with a few European singles on his package. Arriving and installed, he played that record in lenght way and both sides. US companies always on the deck, now know the record and ATLANTIC try to sign them. It doesn't work and it's the specialized dance T.K Disco label MARLIN that sign them.
The first album sold 2 millions copies in 1978 and came back into france for the success. Second experience "Fly Away", include a singer Sylvia MASSON. Success is better than the first time, and on January 20, 1979 they are number 1 on US Dance Charts. However, the trio, isn't regular with they're new status. Paul McCARTNEY offer them to play the first part of his 80's tour. But it's not a good financial deal. Motivation is not a part of the group. In 1980 & 1982 they recorded two more albums, the last one is more funly oriented. That's all for the souvenirs....
