Biographie officielle:

Official Bio:

ZE records is back after almost 20 years of silence. ZE was created in New York in 1978 by ( Z ) Michael Zilkha and ( E ) Michel Esteban. Nevertheless they both episodically continue separatly to produce music through the end of the 90's. Mainly Esteban, who back in Paris produced French new wave band Octobre, 3 albums with Lizzy Mercier Descloux and 2 with Pop idol : LIO. Eventually getting hit singles with L.M.D : « Mais où sont passées les gazelles », and LIO's « Les brunes comptent pas pour des prunes », « Fallait pas commencer » singles and « Pop Model » album.

Esteban decided in 2002 to re-start ZE records with help of Zilkha : First ZE records will re-issue as much material from ZE unique modern vintage back catalogue and then go back to production again.

Discograph in France will distribute ZE products and we're actually working on various projects in association with Trevor Jackson in London & James Murphy in New York.
