This label was established in late 1968 by brothers Eddie and Brian Holland, with the third guy team Dozier. Yes they're the same than the Motown's sixties success hits makers!. However, the 60's going away, they felt that their musical stuff should have to evolve, and they decided to establish simultaneously the INVICTUS and the HOT WAX labels, even if they left MOTOWN for royalyty disputes. A little bit later they founded their third label; MUSIC MERCHANT.

They encounter lowest succes than during the MOTOWN period due to the difficulties of an independant label managment. Freda PAYNE, and CHAIRMEN OF THE BOARD are the two biggest hits providers. Leader of the Chairmen, "General" Johnson sung as lead vocalists with the SHOWMEN from 1961 to 1967. Then he formed the CHAIRMEN with Danny WOODS, Harrison KENNEDY and Eddie CUSTIS in Detroit in 1969. In, 1976 "General" made secession and went solo for Arista records. The group recorded a coiuple of 12" for small labels without the General on lead vocals. It's seems that it was Brian Holland himslef that was on lead vocals on 1979's 12" "Come on in and Dance".
Then around the 80's the group reformed as a trio with General back, and recorded at least 5 albums on the SUFSIDE label.
They are still performing nowadays.

H-D-H also recorded for themselves, and for the famous Lamont DOZIER.

PARLIAMENT is also on this label for the early recordings after, the legal name debat. (PARLIAMENTS)
