		VOLT
	This is a label that started in the early 60's. After being closed in 1977/78, the label as revived in december 1987. In 1987 A&R for the label is being handled by Fred Pittman (Who aslo owned KNOB HILL label). Acts originaly recorded on the VOLT label include the Emotions Otis Reddings , the Mad Labs , The Bar-Kays and the Dramatics. The Story of VOLT is very close to STAX Records. The Volt/Stax masters are owned by FANTASY with distribution by ATLANTIC.
